At Coquimbo...

The workers were clearly part of the team looking to make the 2008 FIFA Women's U20 World Cup Chile to be a big success. With its sister city Serena, Coquimbo combines to provide a beach community for the summer competition.



Not only were the laborers committed but the Government of President Bachelet, represented in Coquimbo and nationally by a group of very competent women, are seeing to it that the construction dates are met.

Blazer meets with Temuco Mayor and Officials

The construction site of the new stadium in Temuco was the venue of the Press Conference and meeting with the FIFA delegation and Mayor Francisco Huenchumilla Jaramillo.

Temuco has been designated as one of the four venues for the FIFA Women's U20 World Cup Chile 2008. Excavation has been right on schedule and the stadium plans were very impressive as a major facility for the community. Following the Press Conference, the Mayor and his staff held a luncheon for the FIFA delegation.

FIFA Women's U20 World Cup Chairman Chuck Blazer meets with President Bachelet in the Presidential Palace in Santiago, Chile to discuss the progress of preparation for the November 2008 event.

Super Bowl XLII

This year's Super Bowl was a special treat. My home town team playing my friend's unbeaten team.

After clearing the field of everyone who ran on to it thinking the clock had run out, the final play actually happened to officially close the match. Here is that moment shot with a Sony T200 pocket camera from my seat. Giants fans - relive the moment.

Cosmos Send their Love to Franz...

The Cosmos had their Christmas dinner at Scaletta's Restaurant on West 77th Street in Manhattan. They were thrilled to receive Franz' Christmas Greetings and decided, although without proper lighting, to send their Christmas wishes back to him. Hopefully next year, everyone can be together.
